Native Americans, English Colonists, and Strange Beasts Virginia D. Anderson – In conversation with Society Board member Eileen McIntyre, Professor Anderson will be on screen from Colorado. The discussion will focus on Anderson’s fascinating exploration of how imported European livestock contributed both to cultural clash between Indians and English colonists, and to westward expansion of the British colonies. Anderson’s book Creatures of Empire: How Domestic Animals Transformed Early America is available for purchase at the Museum shop.
