Intro to Woodturning 2 day Workshop

This 2-day workshop will introduce you to turning tools, equipment and accessories. This workshop meets over one weekend, each day will start at 9:00 am and end at 4:00 pm (including approx. half an hour for lunch–please provide your own lunch). As the course emphasis is on practical turning, you’ll get substantial hands-on experience in basic woodturning techniques. Using your allocated lathe and tools you’ll produce a functional and/or artistic, wooden bowl.

No previous woodworking experience required. Beginner and intermediate level students are welcome. Small class size allows maximum 1 on 1 attention, and individual instruction appropriate to student’s level of experience. No physical strength required. It’s all hand/eye coordination. All tools, safety equipment and materials are provided. Learn the joy of creating treasures with your own hands. Wood is provided–All wood used is from trees already fallen due to death, storm damage or construction.
