Meet the Artist – Anabella Wewer (Duxbury)

The Art Complex Museum invites you to a Gallery Talk by mosaic artist, Anabella Wewer, one of three artists whose works are currently on display in the Unsettled Pieces exhibit.

Classically trained, Wewer uses traditional mosaic techniques to produce thoroughly modern abstract mosaics. Her graphic design background and her love of typography, language, and materials all inform her mosaic practice.

A native of Caracas, Venezuela, and fluent in four languages, Wewer has studied mosaic all over the world with contemporary mosaic masters. In addition to her studio practice, she teaches and exhibits internationally, and curates educational experiences with visiting instructors to the U.S.
