Newton Baroque at the Art Center! Newton Baroque is a period instrument ensemble dedicated to innovative performances of Baroque repertoire. The standing musicians of Newton Baroque are known for their enjoyment in taking musical risks together and imbuing their performances with a spirit of improvisatory spontaneity.

Newton Baroque is especially committed to calling attention to fine music outside the Baroque canon. It draws on its roster of musicians who work frequently with the group, comprising some of the leading Baroque specialists both nationally and internationally.

The ensemble performs regularly in Newton, MA and has appeared on Boston’s SoHIP concert series, on WGBH Radio, Boston, and on various concert series in New York City.
