Personal History Recording Workshop: Making your Own Oral/Video Personal History (Marshfield)

Come and watch how you can record your own personal history using your cell phone.  After the introductory lesson, four (4) or more volunteers will make a 3-minute sample of their personal histories using either their iPhone or Windows cell phone software.  Learn how easy it is to do a full video in the privacy of your home.

We all know that your story will take longer than 3 minutes to tell.  Start now by making brief notes of the key events of your life (e.g., your childhood, elementary, High, and other schooling, marriage, travel, childrearing, your career, sports, retirement, volunteer, and leisure activities.   When I started to do this last month I now have three pages of notes of reminders to include in my personal history video!

The Marshfield Historical Society would like to save a copy of the personal history videos that you produce for our collection for use by future local history researchers. The Society will comply with your requests for confidentiality.

The suggested donation is $10 for Members of the Marshfield Historical Society and $15 for others.
