Pilgrim Festival Singers Presents American Vignettes Concert Series – Musical theatre has deep roots in the United States. Over the past century, countless productions have debuted, many centered on the theme of American life. “American Vignettes” offers Rodgers & Hammerstein’s “Oklahoma!”, Meredith Willson’s “The Music Man”, and Leonard Bernstein’s “West Side Story”. In honor of the late Stephen Sondheim’s immense contribution to musical theater, the singers perform a special tribute: “Sondheim! A Choral Celebration”, featuring many of his best-known songs. Audiences will revel in beloved tunes including “Oklahoma,” “76 Trombones,” “Till There Was You,” “Maria,” “There’s a Place for Us,” “Comedy Tonight,” and “Send in the Clowns,” and more. Talented soloists are drawn from the chorus. A must see for musical theatre lovers!
