The Plymouth Philharmonic Orchestra in partnership with the Emilson YMCA in Hanover will present a free outdoor concert featuring the Phil’s Cabaret Orchestra on Wednesday, July 13th at Laura’s Center for the Arts.

The Phil’s Conductor, Steven Karidoyanes leads the musicians of The Phil’s Cabaret Orchestra, a novel 26-piece band, described by Karidoyanes as “a portable Pops orchestra,” in a wide-ranging, family-friendly concert.  It features American favorites “Maple Leaf Rag,” “Sweet Georgia Brown,” and “What a Wonderful World,” light classics such as the lively and familiar “Can-Can” and the fiery “Toreador Song” from “Carmen,” and the latest earworm craze from Disney’s “Encanto,” namely, “We Don’t Talk About Bruno.”  The music of George Gershwin and Irving Berlin round out the program.

Seating is general admission with areas for concertgoers to place lawn chairs or blankets.  Guests may bring the food and beverages of their choice. The lawn opens at 6PM and the concert begins at 6:30PM and runs for about an hour without intermission. In the event of rain, the concert will be inside the Center, which is fully accessible.

The concert is sponsored by the Emilson Family in partnership with the Emilson YMCA. The 107th Season of the Plymouth Philharmonic Orchestra is funded in part by the Massachusetts Cultural Council, a state agency.
