Explore the fascinating heritage of the Pokanoket tribe on Saturday, November 5, from 1 to 3 pm at the Alden House Historic Site in Duxbury. Members will share a perspective on life in the East Bay (Sowams) through dancing, singing, drumming, storytelling, presentations, and displays on Pokanoket history and culture.
The event includes tours of Alden House and activities for kids. It is sponsored by the Duxbury Cultural Council. Admission is free.
Alden House Historic Site shares the history of Mayflower Passengers John and Priscilla Alden and generations of their descendants. Owned and operated by the Alden Kindred of America, it is located at 105 Alden Street in Duxbury. For more information please visit www.alden.org.
