Plimoth Patuxet Museum

Plimoth Cinema presents a special screening of Reel Injun. The film examines the portrayal of North American Indigenous people throughout a century of cinema. Following the film screening, Plimoth Patuxet Museums’ Director of Wampanoag and Indigenous Interpretation and Training Brad Lopes will moderate a discussion.

This event is part of Plimoth Patuxet Museums’ Indigenous Voices: Celebrating 50 Years of Plimoth Patuxet’s Wampanoag Indigenous Program, a series of events celebrating the program’s legacy of introducing regional Indigenous history and culture to millions of guests from around the US and the world. The series is supported by the Town of Plymouth Promotions Fund.

This event will take place in the Museum’s Linn Theater as part of Plimoth Patuxet Museums’ Indigenous Voices: Celebrating 50 Years of Plimoth Patuxet’s Wampanoag Indigenous Program, a series of events celebrating the program’s legacy of introducing regional Indigenous history and culture to millions of guests from around the US and the world. From Indigenous drumming and dancing, to lectures and traditional storytelling, the programs reflect the Museum’s ongoing commitment to inclusivity as the Museum researches and helps to preserve the 17th-century lifeways of a vibrant culture that continues to thrive today. The series is supported by the Town of Plymouth Promotions Fund.
