Wuttáhimneash is the Wampanoag word for strawberry, the first berry of the season. Indigenous communities often celebrate this as the beginning of Summer and the coming of the planting/growing season. Strawberry Thanksgiving is a time to be outside, engage in sports, and enjoy time with friends and family.

Museum educators at the Historic Patuxet Homesite will speak with guests about the foodways, sports, and traditions surrounding this centuries old celebration. Participants will have the opportunity to shop at a Native vendor fair featuring goods made exclusively by local Indigenous community members.

Join us in welcoming the start of Summer! Check Here for more information.
