Explore how the Mayflower story is commemorated in Britain in this virtual talk by senior lecturer at Queen’s University Belfast Dr. Tom Hulme, sponsored by the Alden House Historic Site.

Often seen as the “bad guy” in the story of the Mayflower, Britain has a long and varied history of commemorating the voyage. This illustrated virtual talk will journey across the British landscape to highlight the places of Pilgrim memory, from monuments and memorials, churches and paintings, to the strange and curious.

Dr. Hulme is the director of “Voyaging through History:  the Mayflower and Britain, 1620-2020″ a collaborative project with the University of Exeter and the British Library.

The program will be broadcast through Zoom; registration is required Here.
