The Pilgrim Progress, a historical reenactment of the Pilgrims’ procession to church, is a unique cultural tradition in Plymouth. Locals and visitors dress in Pilgrim attire, each representing one of the 51 Pilgrim survivors of the first winter in the New World. The procession begins at the Mayflower Society House, moves down Water Street past Plymouth Rock, and up Leyden Street to Town Square. The walk ends at Burial Hill where a short Pilgrim worship service takes place at the site of the original Fort/Meetinghouse.
This event is rain or shine. In case of severe weather, the ceremony is held on the Mayflower Society House front porch.
