Join the Falmouth Museums on the Green during April vacation week to learn more about our historic village green, laid out in 1749. In this hands-on experience families will receive a map and guidebook for a self-directed tour of the area around the Green. The guidebook will provide fun facts about the hidden history of eight landmarks. Children will be asked to identify a specific detail at each destination. After the tour, participants are then invited back to the Museums’ cultural center where they can apply what they have learned about town planning, architecture, and civic engagement as they design their own village green to take home in a hands-on craft.
This event is geared to children ages 6-12. Children must be accompanied by an adult.
Non-members: $5 per child, which includes the cost of supplies. Members’ children free.
