What better way to welcome fall than learning to cook “the ancient New England standing dish” of stewed pompion (squash)! To further celebrate our modern New England apple harvest, we’ll press some fresh apple cider while the pompion stews over a low fire.  Allergens used in this class: dairy.

About the What’s Cooking? Programs at Plimoth Patuxet – Learn to cook some of the most popular dishes from our popular New England Harvest Feast! Have you ever made a chine of pork or Wampanoag nasaump? How about over a fire? Learn how to make these and many more historic dishes through this series of 10 classes taking place in 2025. Perfect for the cook in your family.
