Wild Imagination: Art and Animals in the Gilded Age (Newport RI)

This exhibition is going to be fun. Animals, wild and domestic, were depicted in wildly varying ways during the 19th and early 20th centuries in America, and the Newport Mansions owns dozens of fascinating examples.

“Wild Imagination: Art and Animals in the Gilded Age” opens on August 30, at Rosecliff. More than 100 objects will be on display, including several on loan from other institutions.
The exhibition will be included with admission to Rosecliff.
