Back Roads of the South Shore

Backroads of the South Shore is a collaboration of historical organizations operating important historic sites in many towns along the South Shore of Massachusetts. The group is dedicated to creating an awareness of the area’s historic gems and celebrating the heritage and spirit of the region. The Aldens and Adamses, Winslows and Bradfords, Stetsons and Westons, Howlands and Harlows … are families of the old South Shore whose stories represent the settlement of the “Old Colony” of Plymouth in Massachusetts.
