Fresh Pond

Fresh Pond Plymouth

Fresh Pond is a 66 acre natural kettle hole pond located off of Rt. 3A in the village of Manomet in Plymouth. The average depth of Fresh Pond is 10 feet with a maximum of 30 feet and the water is clear and typically transparent to 15 feet. The pond is fed by groundwater and a small inlet from Warner Pond and has an outlet to cranberry bogs and Beaver Dam Brook. The bottom is composed of sand and rubble, aquatic vegetation is limited and most of the 1.3 miles of shoreline is developed with houses.

The town of Plymouth manages a steep gravel launch area  and parking area in Fresh Pond Park located off Bartlett St. The launch is suitable for paddle and cartop boats and parking is permitted at a fee. Shoreline access is limited to areas of Fresh Pond Park and via a small state owned parcel off route 3A by way of a drainage easement.
