NOTE: Due to the recent restrictions put in place due to the pandemic, the Oliver House is not available for tours or investigations. These are very trying times, and your safety is of the utmost importance. Please check back here for re-opening or check Here on our Facebook page.
Originally incorporating two dwelling houses laid out in a landscaped park, the estate was described by Governor Hutchinson as “one of the loveliest spots in all his majesty’s colony”
Today visitors can experience the elegant Georgian mansion and its extensive formal gardens which were home to Dr. Peter Oliver and his wife Sally Hutchinson who often entertained figures such as Benjamin Franklin and John Adams. The house is painstakingly restored and maintained by a dedicated team of volunteers.
Visitors can stroll in the gardens Monday through Friday from 10:00 am to 4:00 pm. Tickets for all events including house tours, teas and ghost tours are available on Eventbrite.com.
