Free Rides in “America’s Hometown”
See Plymouth once again offers free transportation throughout the historic district in Ride Circuit electric vehicles
Plymouth, MA – (May 23, 2023) – See Plymouth has announced that the popular “Ride Circuit” electric car program launched by the organization in Spring of 2022 will operate from Memorial Day Weekend straight through the weekend before Thanksgiving. Funding is provided by the town’s Visitor Services Board and administered by See Plymouth, the official tourism organization for the town and county of Plymouth. This on-demand shuttle service helps reduce congestion by taking cars off the road and pooling riders going in the same direction. Driver Ambassadors promote the destination and offer local knowledge and recommendations. Residents and visitors offered rave reviews last year to the service that offers free rides throughout the Plymouth Downtown and Waterfront areas.
The three-car fleet of electric vehicles will include two GEM cars and a TESLA so that visitors can save gas and park once for the entire day. The new Tesla, capable of bringing passengers further, will make direct trips to Plimoth Patuxet Museums and the Plymouth & Brockton Bus Stop behind the Massachusetts Visitor Information Center, managed by See Plymouth.
The cars’ hours of operation will generally run from 11 am to 9 pm but will adjust based on visitor flow.
