The Plymouth County Farm Petting Zoo & Horticultural Center has been around for over 100 years and is a vibrant, family-friendly place to visit. Take your kids to the free petting zoo, where they can meet horses, cows, goats, and more. Pack a picnic lunch to enjoy together, then check out the horticultural center to learn about the numerous plants that are grown year-round. It’s a wonderful place to experience not only the outdoors but also the Plymouth County community.

The Adventure Park at Heritage Museums & Gardens

The Adventure Park at Heritage Museums & Gardens in Sandwich is where you and your kids will have the treetop adventure of a lifetime! Adults and children 7 and up of any fitness level can climb, zip, and explore the incredible self-guided courses.

There are roughly 60 tree-top platforms connected by bridges, ladders, zip lines and other crossings, so you’ll have no shortage of fun. There are four difficulty levels, but the courses are color-coded and marked like ski trails so you can find the right one for your ability level. Both you and your kids can feel like you’re Tarzan going on a journey of self-discovery and come away with an incredible story to tell friends and family.

Walk-ins are accepted, but it’s cheaper to book ahead of time. You can also book an all-day adventure pass for a full day of aerial fun! It’s highly recommended that you bring gloves which  can be purchased online.

Do your kids love sports and being active? Over in Hanover, they can have a ball at the largest sports complex in New England, Starland Sportsplex and Fun Park! Kids of all ages can play their favorite sports, like basketball, volleyball, rock climbing, pickleball, and baseball. Whether they’re looking to sharpen their skills or try something new, they can start their spring training and have a blast while doing it.

There’s also plenty of fun for kids who aren’t sports fanatics. They can choose from a variety of activities and games to choose from, including go-karts, an arcade, bumper cars, laser tag, and mini golf. These activities are individually priced but you can get the most value with special games passes and day passes. No matter how you play, your kids will have the chance to get active and have fun.
