Alden House Historic Site

Kick off the holiday season with a festive weekend at Alden House Historic Site. On Saturday enjoy guided tours of the historic home between noon and 3 p.m.

Then on Sunday Alden House is proud to participate in Holly Days—Duxbury’s beloved community-wide celebration that offers a joyful start to the season. Visitors are invited to dip candles, craft a Colonial ornament to take home, and explore the house decorated for the holidays. Don’t miss a special visit with 18th-century reenactor Stacy Booth at the Alden hearth, where you’ll discover popular Colonial holiday foods and customs.  Reservations are not required for either day’s activities.

Alden House Historic Site is part of the property granted to Mayflower passengers John and Priscilla Mullins Alden in 1627 and was home to generations of their descendants. Now a museum and designated a National Historic Landmark, it is owned and operated by the Alden Kindred of America and located at 105 Alden Street, Duxbury.
